Finally, EC2102 paper's over!!
Haha.. Big load off my mind.. Now, retracing back to what I did for the past 24hr, many would probably think that I'm mad..

Here goes~
11+am (*Note: It's near midnight on 29/4) Just reached home. Went to get amulets for Practical Driving Test & WAT Trip.
12am to 2.30am - Slept from 12am. Woke up. Took a shower. Study for EC2102 paper on 30/4 (9am).
6am - Ate breakfast. My dad drove me to MPSH.
7am - Reached NUS.
9am to 11am - EC2102 macroeconomic analysis I Final Term Paper
(Should throw a party in celebration.. Haha.. Just glad it's over..)
12.20pm to 2pm - Driving session i.e. revision
3.15pm - Warm-up session for driving test
4.30pm to 5pm - Traffic Police Practical Driving Test
5pm to 6pm - Attended video-screening session @ BBDC. Apply for temporary driving license. (Heehee~ I passed the driving test!!)
6.30pm to 9.30pm - Met weijia @ Jurong East MRT. Went City Hall to get 21st b'dae gift for shuyu.
10.30pm - Reached shuyu's hse to give her a surprise but she's nt in T^T
11pm - Reached aunt jessie's hse @ yew tee.
12am - Reached home.

Now~ It's alr 1.30am of 1/5/08.
So.. I hav practically nt slept a wink in e past 24hr. Bcos w/ EC2102 exam & driving test, didn't feel a thing abt lack of sleep. Haha.. But now all e after-effects are coming on..
Well then.. All I can say that this sure is a hectic day.

Back to the main topic now~
This past mth has been pretty chaotic.. Deadlines for Insomnia~ Deadlines for EC2374 ptoject~ Deadlines for SC1101E groupwork~ PLUS MID-TERMS @_@
On top of that, still have to start planning & preparing for WAT trip..
Come to think abt it, I don't really have much time left -- SC1101E ethnography on mon 24/3 (which is 'today'); EC2374 report sent for compilation (cos it's a group effort) on 7/4 then the final copy due on 18/4; Reading week from 19/4; Driving test on 30/4; Term papers from 26/4 - 2/5
Then.. I'll be on the plane on 3/5 @_@
So I have started to 'pack my luggage' since wed.. 'Pack' as in writing down all e things I would need to bring and buying those that I'm lacking..
But the biggest dilemma I'm in now is this -- which I bring a 24" luggage bag or a 30" one?
I had developed a phobia for bringing too small a luggage bag since my Jan'07 trip to Taiwan, cos during tt time, I had to borrow a traveling bag from one of my fren as all the things tt I had bought couldn't go into my 24" luggage bag. But, 30" seems to be too extreme arh? *Sigh.. then again, I'm nt really in e mood to get a new luggage bag for this trip.. Such a troubling problem~
Anw.. I'm jus trying to 发泄 a little here.. Haha..
But seriously I would welcome advice from any who happpens to read this post with regards to the 'luggage' issue.. Haha~

Wow.. It has been so long~ since I last blogged.

Well.. Have been busy with work & school (feeling kinda guilty when I say tes..)
Working-wise: I'm now working as a part-time student care teacher from 3pm-7pm, mon-fri. Basically it's qt an easy task..

Schedule as follows~
3pm-4pm: Supervise the kids' school homework & if there's enuff time get them to do some assessment books (eng+math+sci tuition)
4pm-5pm: Chinese tuition (Since I'm nt e teacher I can just sit in e classroom & do my own stuff)
5pm-530pm: Tea-break for e kids (& myself ^_^)
530pm-7pm: Let the kids play toys or watch TV & wait for all of them to go home
So~ it's rather easy money.. Heehee..
Btw I need a stand-in teacher from may to aug (to take up my job while I'm out of e ctry) So, if anyone who sees tes post is willing & able to take up tes task, pls let me noe asap. Thx. Pay: $5/hr

Then~ Back to my 'official' occupation: Student
Well.. I'm troubled by LAF1201 & EC2102.. Can't really seem to grab e things tt're being taught.. Sigh~

Seems to have be really into the holiday mood recently..

Did intend to post an entry on my trip to A'Famosa Resort, Melaka, Malaysia.. But continuously putting it off so up till now all my beautiful photos are nt up yet..^_^
Mind it.. I came back from that trip on 20/12.. Haha.. So conclusion: I'm really a lazy bum... Hee ^o^

Anw if anyone of you is looking for a place w/ low-cost movies, shopping & food, can try out city square in johor..
1. It's within walking distance from the customs
2. Can book movie tix online & just be at the cathay cinema there to collect them an hr before screening time
3. There's Secret Recipe & Kim Gary at B1 w/ the prices almost identical to that in S'pore except that it's in RM (Can check out the other restaurants there too)
4. Plenty of shops to satisfy anyone's shopping desire & yet the pricing is fairly reasonable

Mahjong Session

Finally... Exam's over.. (The last paper was on 5th dec :D
Well.. Im like one of those who started e earliest & ended e latest (24/11 - 5/12) T^T
Shld make a note to nv have e exam dates too far apart.. Jus simply lost e mugging mood halfway w/ a week's break in b/w.. hahaha...

Just had a mahjong session wif my cousins (qisong & leslie) & 2 sis at aunt's hse.. My aunt & uncle (my dad's youngest bro) went out to watch a R21 movie wif leslie's parents.. Since my mum & dad nt so onto tt movie & we 'kids' are playing mahjong.. The task of taking care of my aunt's 3 daughters - jenevie (9yrs old), jolene (4yrs old) & janelle (2+ mths old) fell onto them.. hahaha..

She's like the 宝贝 of the whole family.. When she was a baby, she always smiled when the person who's carrying her changed.. So sweet right? Haha.. Her 'status' has not really changed w/ e birth of her younger sis but we all do tend to pay less attention to her now.. Always feel kinda guilty when i tink of it.. -_-

Anw this is janelle, my youngest cousin on my dad's side of e family..
She's v cute too, right? ^_^
She's v talkative now..Haha.. Will always make lots of babbly sounds when pple talk to her.. Her fav way of being carried now will be to lie on someone's lap & jus has a convo tt way.. Haha..
The weirdest thing is tt she seems to always know tt there's pple who can carry her when she hears e sound of e mahjong, cos she cries whenever she's left to lie on her bed then.. Haha..

Anw.. Im jus really glad tt exam's over.. Yay! ^_^ V

Political Science

Im actually late in blogging sth abt my political science paper that just ended on 27 nov, which is on tue..

Seriously tt paper really freaked me out.. I lost 2 nights' of sleep due to tt.. Hav to get my mum to accompany me on the eve of the exam cos I was so nervous that I couldn't get to sleep (qt embarrassing to admit this.. ^_^ *) Anyway I sort of made up for it by sleeping away 15 hrs of my time frm 2am ytd to 5pm today.. Haha.. Qt scary arh?

As to why I was so panicky over that paper was bcos:
1. I had skipped most of the lect as there's webcast so I practically dun hav much of a idea as to what tt module's all abt when it's jus 2 days to the paper
2. There's a whole stack of essential readings that is 30cm by 21cm by 1.7cm (the lecturer said tt e lect r jus supplementary to e readings T^T)
3. Format of exam: a passage w/ 3 qn (25%) & 1 essay out of 4 qn (25%) in 2hrs (Goodness know if I would even hav enuff materials in my head for tt essay.. @_@)
4. It's a closed-book exam
So..
I was kind of hoping I would fall really ill or sth happened such tt I can skip tt paper.. Really 鸵鸟 mentality.. Haha..
But, of course, no such thing happened & I went for tt exam as I shld.. Luckily, it was easier than expected.. Things tt were asked were included in e lect notes.. Heehee.. ^_^

Anyway I didn't get down to those readings cos my brain felt like it couldn't contain any more info so I jus gave up.. *sigh.. But then again, it doesn't seem like a gd sign tt I found it easy.. Im jus glad tt it's all over & done w/.. & my nxt paper is like another week away.. ^_^

Im kind of losing it.. Nt qt sue of wat Im actually writing.. ^_^

Start of Mugging

Haven't been blogging for the past.. hmm.. i tink more than a mth alr ba..

Well.. have been feeling kinda slacky recently.. jus dun have e energy to do anything much.. So in the last few wks of lesson, I actually pon more than I guessed I'm supposed to.. :P

Anyway.. updates 1st.. One thing is that I have officially started my practical driving lesson.. ^_^ V Thank goodness.. My dad has been nagging at me for ages.. Now then I realise that drving is nt as easy as I thot.. I kept 4getting to keep e pressure on e brake pedal even when the car has stopped.. *sigh.. and my turning's horrible too.. I kept turning at e wrong timing - too late in turning.. Well.. hopefully I can get my license b4 I go to e States.. But have to pass my final theory test 1st b4 I can book my practical test date.. Arghhhhh!!!!!! Dun tink I can make it in time though cos I heard that those who are booking now get their test dates in Apr..

OK.. Enough on that..

Another thing's that been bugging me will be e upcoming term exam.. E only comforting thing is probably that I have started on e revision today.. (or shld I say ytd? well.. anyway it's on 21st..) But seriously e mood's nt there yet.. *sigh.. Well.. I guess can only convince myself that at e very least.. I hav started studying.. or at least made an effort to start..

CS Essay

Today's the due date for my CH1101E - Introduction to Chinese Studies essay..

The topic was, 治史的目的与方法：从《国史大纲。引论》谈起. Seriously, it was hell for me.. Really feel like dropping the module at that very instance.. Somehow, I regret not paying attention when my primary school teacher was going through hanyu pinyin.. Thankfully, Yuan Hong helped me out with the typing of the essay today.. Thks, Yuan Hong! ^_^ If not, I dun tink I can ever complete the assignment..

The word limit of this essay was 3,500words, but I only managed to come up with 1,300+ words.. Seriously, that was my limit.. I just hope that I won't be marked down too badly for this.. T^T Anyway, it's all over now.. Well.. at least for the time being.. *Sigh..

Impromtu clarification

Just to explain..

The previous entry was written at arnd 1.50am on Sunday, 21 Oct. So, the 'today' I was referring to was Saturday.. I just realised that the time was not reflected on my blog.. ^_^

Anyway, I somehow has gotten into the habit of including at least 1 pic into every entry of mine.. But believe me..this trend won't last long.. Soon.. my passion will run out & I won't be so diligent in writing the entries.. But nevertheless, this will be a good way of keeping a record of what I do each day.. ^_^

I have to go sleep now.. Promised my sis that I will wake up early to have breakfast together with my parents..
P/S: Mind it! Though my sis are all younger than I'm, they are the real 'bosses' in my family.. ^_^

High heels..

The interview for the Work & Travel USA was today..

Assuming that the instructed dress code - smart casual attire = no slippers, I went in high heels that was covered with dust when I dug it out from under the pile of shoe boxes that were long forgotten in the storeroom. Goodness know when's the last time I ever wore heels..

It's really a torture to the feet.. I should have just gone ahead with the initial idea of wearing slippers to the interview.. Most likely no one will even notice them under the jeans.. Sigh.. Too late for regrets now since the damage is already done.. T^T

Anyway, the interview was actually easier than thought.. I suppose they are really recruiting quite a huge number of people, coupled up with the fact that it is rather hard for most to actually be able to fulfil the min working period of 3mths.. I'm going for it but as the working duration is from 18 May to 17 Aug, it means that I'll have to miss at least 1.5wks of lessons, provided that the first week of the semester is Oweek. But I suppose I won't be the only one doing so.. For this company that I'm joining - Seaworld Orlando, they only allow us to report either on 4 May or 18 May.. No NUS student will be able to make it for the first choice since it crashes with our exam period..

The only sad thing is that we won't be able to extend our stay in the US after our working period, just purely for the sake of travelling.. But nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to this trip.. Hope that the date of departure can come soon.. ^_^

New Appointment...

Just took on a post for the faculty publications today.. Seriously wondering if my std of English can make it.. +_+" But I suppose it will be a fun experience.. & maybe can make use of this opportunity to get to know more people.. kinda sad.. cos dun have any close friends in the same modules as I'm doing.. Sigh..

Anyway, today's entry is just kind of random.. ^_^

P/S: I bought the teddy bear in M'sia a couple of years back. When I carried it through customs, the officer even asked me if it has a passport. Haha.. I guess their job is so boring that they need a laugh now and then..

Philo Essay 1

Jus gotten back my first philosophy essay.. haha.. the result was far better than what I would expect.. Considering it was a last min work..

This paper was due on the Monday right after recess week.. Right till Sunday, I was still indecisive on on which topic I should do.. Well.. I have always been quite fickle-minded ^_^ Anyway, after considering that I had read 'Euthyphro' much more thoroughly than I had to 'Meno', I suppose choosing that topic would be a better choice..
P/S: To those who read this post and dun get what's Euthyphro and Meno, they are basically dialogues written by a philosopher named Plato, and believe me, it's good that you have never read them cos the convo just keep going around in circles so you will just get all the more confusing after reading them. Putting it simply, you may say that they are just a waste of time.

Anyway, back to my essay.. I only started writing it at around 2am and completed it at 5.30am.. Luckily for me is that I have no lessons on Mondays so after spending a mere 5 min to hand the essay in (not including the time I took to travel la..), I just went home to my beloved bed.. ^_^

So, with that amount of time I really devoted to this assignment, 16/25 which constitutes to a B grade is considered good enough for me.. The worrying thing is that there's a 2nd one coming up which is due on 5th Nov.. T^T Sigh.. Why do lecturers love giving essays as assignments so much???

Change of Blog

Have been using Live Journal till now.. (though only one post there still.. :P) Feeling kinda guilty about that so thought that maybe it'll be good to have a change of environment..

Life hasn't been very happening recently.. The only thing worth mentioning will be the loss of my voice.. Started coughing on Sun then infected throat on Mon and no voice on Tue.. Instead of medicine, I turned to KFC for help.. Maybe none may believe but the method of using poison on poison does help.. Well.. at least it works for me.. ^_^ Not forgetting all those spicy stuff that I took in the past couple of days (including a curry baked rice from Pizza Hut)

Sigh.. Life's so wonderful.. ^_^
